Special Speaker: Ms.Kathy Stovicek
Come to our March meeting and hear from Ms. Stovicek, the FOMS SSL coordinator speak about Student Service Learning (SSL), e.g., how your child can earn SSL hours, when can SSL hours be earned, what organizations are authorized to give SSL hours, and the details about the requirement for SSL in order to graduate from High School. Also hear from Mr. Art Williams, Proud Principal of FOMS, and Ms. Marisel Schank, PTA President. We will also have an update on our spring events, an update on MSL testing, bookfair, and a Treasurer's Report.
Please come and hear about FOMS, PTA and SSL! Come and meet other interested and active parents, teachers, students, and family members!

Please park in our school lots: in front of the school (use blue lines) and in back of the school on the basketball blacktop. You may also park in the Saybrooke Homeowners Association Swimming Pool Lot (Thank you SHA!)

Parents of Rising 7th and 8th grade students' meeting scheduled for 1/31/12 at 7:00 PM is canceled due to power outage. Details for rescheduling of the meeting will be announced as they are made.

Special Topic: Student Service Learning (SSL) Hours
Come to our November meeting and hear from Ms. Stovicek or Mr. Williams speak about SSL Hours. What is SSL? Why do our children need SSL hours? How do we fill out the forms? What organizations are approved and what does "approved" mean? Also, hear from Mr. Art Williams, Proud Principal of FOMS, and Ms. Marisel Schank, PTA President. We will also have an update on our Fundraisers, an update on Membership, an update on the fall bookfair, and a Treasurer's Report.

For only $20 per family, you can help support your student(s), Forest Oak Middle School, Montgomery County PTA, and Maryland State PTA.
